Who we are

This site is run by Saltaire Partners Corp., an M&A advisory firm in the New York metropolitan area. For anything about this policy or your information, email mike@saltairepartners.com.

What you send us through the contact form

When you send a note, we receive your name and email address, and whatever you choose to add: your company, a revenue band, what you're trying to do, and your message. We also record which page you sent it from and when.

The note is emailed to us through Microsoft's Azure Communication Services and lands in our Microsoft 365 mailbox. We use it to reply to you and to arrange the call, and we keep it as a record of the conversation. The service that sends the email logs your email address when it sends a note; those logs are kept for 30 days.

To stop spam, the form limits how many notes one internet address can send in ten minutes. That address is held in memory for those ten minutes and is not stored.

Server logs

Like most websites, the servers that host this one, on Microsoft Azure, log each request: the page, the time, your browser's description of itself, and your internet address. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure. They are deleted after 7 days. Our application monitoring records requests and errors too, without your full internet address, and keeps them for 30 days.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics, which tells us how people find and use the site: which pages are read, roughly where visitors are, and what device and browser they use. Google Analytics sets these first-party cookies:

• _ga: tells one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
• _ga_<container-id>: keeps track of the current visit. Expires after 2 years.

Browsers may delete these sooner if you don't come back. Google processes this data on our behalf; how Google uses information from sites that use its services explains what it does with it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The site works the same without them.

Who else handles it

Only the services named above, which process it for us: Microsoft, which hosts the site and carries our email, and Google, for analytics. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing mike@saltairepartners.com. You don't have to use the contact form to reach us.

Children

This site is for business owners and buyers. It isn't meant for children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
